Vital Leaf is seeking a Production Coordinator to ensure that our finished inventory is manufactured consistently and scheduled appropriately to meet the company’s fast growing demand. The primary responsibilities of this position are to use sales forecasts to maintain finished product inventories by scheduling production and coordinating all the necessary resources, including ingredient sourcing, packaging, shipping and distribution. This position will work closely with the Operations Coordinator and manufacturing partners. EDUCATION & JOB EXPERIENCE DESIRED
A college degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in production
3+ years in production environment within food, beverage, or perishable manufacturing industry
Commercial Kitchen experience is plus
Computer Savvy and Extremely Proficient with Google Suite (Google Drive, Sheets, Etc)
Must have excellent grammar, spelling, and technical writing skills to write clear production SOP’s.
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written form
METRC proficient or capable of quickly becoming proficient in Seed to Sale tracking platform
Experience with Inventory Management software. Strong understanding of ERP Systems
Effective project management skills
Understanding of printing setups a plus (bleed, margins, trim lines, paper types)
Must have a passion for organization and developing/following clear processes. Strong attention to detail, quality, quantities, and consistency in production to help keep production running smoothly.
Must be able to obtain OLCC MJ Worker Handlers Permit within 4 weeks of hire
Must have a reliable vehicle and active driver’s license

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Act as the primary contact for manufacturing activities
Scheduling, coordinating resources, establishing priorities, and monitoring progress of production.
Timely procurement of source materials, raw ingredients, and packaging for production while keeping impeccable notes on orders, receipts and production
Proactively ensuring labor and equipment are available to meet production needs
Work closely and efficiently with Operations Coordinator to plan and forecast production requirements in terms of quantity and timing to keep finished inventory levels at proper levels.
Perform visual quality inspections on products, packaging, and presentation
Handle day-to-day production documentation, ensuring accuracy and timely input into reporting systems
Develop and refine impeccable production SOPs
Ensure adherence to OSHA, GMP, SQF, Food Safety and facility compliance while meeting operational goals and continuously improving production.
Willingness to pick and pack and assist fulfillment team between production
Research and filing various manufacturing certifications
Effective price negotiation with suppliers, while valuing the importance of our long term relationships.
PHYSICAL & LOGISTICAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to lift, carry and balance up to 50 pounds (100 pounds with assistance) AND must be able to do so with care and caution when working with products. Ability to periodically lift, push, and pull 50+ pounds, stand, walk, kneel, bend, and reach. Willing to make occasional deliveries.
